The enthusiasm and artistic background of this couple, as well as their vision of a Moroccan-themed wedding and the natural beauty of the Jay Griffith Estate in Malibu was the inspiration for the colorful and eclectic elements. The ceremony was marked with oversized monkeypod bowls filled with water, river rocks and dahlia heads, as well as two pedestal bamboo bowls filled with succulents and black dahlias. The "journey" through the ravine from ceremony to reception was accented with red rose and black dahlia "stepping stones". Distinctive tablescapes included long green moss "runners" with vibrant paved floral balls; Moroccan-inspired ribboned troughs overflowing with succulents, black dahlias and black figs; long "runner" of black grapes accented with green moss and white roses; polished river-rock "runner" supporting a collection of arrangements in aged bronze urns filled with succulents and purple scabiosa. The head table was composed of all these elements, with the focal pointbeing a brass and inlaid mosaic urn filled with orange calla lilies. Lounge pavilion is accented with oversized dahlia "picture frames".
